I'm barely holding on as the soft deceptions slide my way
Enticing me to just let go
Believe them
Even for an instant
To let them get inside my mind
Warp my reality
Make the world seem as what it is not.

We can make your life so much more if you just surrender
Convince yourself of these
Delusions
It just gets easier
Once your mind is corrupted
Your body follows
And soon you will be as the others.

Soft deceptions of self, purpose as of most mankind
Corroding my soul
Devouring me
Battering my mind
I'm fighting for my individuality
Strength of self
I cling tightly to my mind and world

Inside and out
